After leaving Bend, OR, we stayed overnight at Lone Mountain RV Park in O’Brien, OR. The campground was nice, had a swimming hole, and even offered “tee-pees” for rent. After a comfortable night, a beautiful drive out of Oregon and into the California Redwoods led us to Crescent City, a seaport town on the very northern California coast. There we visited the Redwoods National Park Visitor Center, walked along the pier, and breathed in the salty air. Something about the ocean always feels like home.
From Crescent City, we made our way to Eureka, CA. We stayed at a clean KOA right off of the highway. We had some long downpours, but there was no wind so we were able to enjoy the outdoors from under our awning. While in Eureka, we visited some friends and family, had some delicious fish n’ chips and pizza (separately), and nearly walked to the end of a jetty. It was great to catch up with everyone and see the ocean again.
