Sacramento is where it all began! Tiffany and Ben met there many years ago and, as they say, the rest is history!  Every time we return to Sacramento, we try to see family and friends (of course), and this trip was no exception. We also take the opportunity to visit some of our favorite restaurants, such as Dos Coyotes, In-N-Out Burger, and Leatherby’s Family Creamery!

We stayed at Cal Expo RV Park – an RV park located on the grounds of a large exhibition center in Sacramento.  While the park is “no frills” (no pool, gravel lot, few trees, etc.), it was a convenient home base to visit family and friends that still live in the area. It also had a great dog park! It was kind of strange because we grew up going to Cal Expo for the California State Fair, concerts, and other events. Staying in the park allowed us to see it from a different perspective. It was also neat because the RV park is located near the Cal Expo harness racing track, so we got to see and hear the races a couple of nights a week. The park is adjacent to the American River, which has a nice parkway for morning walks.

While in Sacramento, we saw friends and family, drove through some of our old neighborhoods, and the boys went to a pumpkin patch with some friends. You can read more about the boys’ adventures on their blog. A nice time was had by all!
