Kamiah is a small town in north-central Idaho. There is much Lewis & Clark history in the area to enjoy, as well as the small town atmosphere. We took part in Kamiah’s annual BBQ days, including attending a spaghetti feed at the local senior center. We also explored towns in the surrounding area and an old, but still active, ranger station. The drive along the Clearwater River is spectacular.
We stayed at Lewis-Clark Resort, which was nice enough, but could use an infusion of capital for some updates. The place was likely top of the line in the 1980s – now it just seems old. The people were nice and it was relatively clean, so that helped. Aside from the tree branches randomly falling on neighboring trailers (but not ours, thankfully), it was a good place to stay.
